Accountant Job at S&G Stores in Sylvania

S&G Convenience Stores is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant with a focus on Accounts Payable/Receivable to join our dynamic accounting team. Job responsibilities will be as follows:

1. Review Accounts Payable vendor statements and invoices to confirm billing accuracy.
2. Communicate with Accounts Payable vendors and Store Managers to resolve discrepancies.
3. Ensure credit is received for outstanding Accounts Payable vendor credit memos.
4. Prepare Accounts Receivable customer statements and invoices.
5. Reconcile Accounts Receivable customer balances.
6. Follow up on past due Accounts Receivable customer balances.
7. Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

1. Previous Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable experience.
2. Possess a solid understanding of basic accounting practices and AP/AR principles.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
4. Experience with importing/exporting files to/from ERP system is a plus but not required.
