Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the oversight of special projects and analysis of financial information and processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyze and report unclaimed property.
Maintain and monitor records for special projects.
Maintain Controller's Office website, which includes forms and information.
Assist in creating and maintaining electronic reports for the Controller's Office.
Provide customer support as a representative of the Controller's Office, and the University in general, to students, faculty, staff and other interested parties.
Completes the 1099s prior to the IRS deadline.
Processes sales and use taxes for the University.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Detailed understanding of accounting functions and computer applications
Ability to analyze financial reports, statements or other computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and other computer applications.
Exhibit excellent professional ethics.
Ability to multi-task with excellent organizational skills.
Minimum Requirements:
Associate's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field or three years in a financial office setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting.
Experience in Higher Education Accounting.
