Position Summary: The Admissions Officer reports to the Associate Director of Recruitment under the auspices of Enrollment Management. The position is twelve months, full-time. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Admissions Officer will assist with all recruitment activities on behalf of the Office of Admission. These include, but are not limited to: Travel during and after normal business hours to represent the university at recruitment events and activities, in and out of state, year-round. Develop and conduct recruitment presentations on and off campus. Organize and plan outreach opportunities with community leaders, organizations and groups; including campus visit days and other recruitment initiatives. Counsel prospective students and families with regards to admissions. Enter prospective student data into the Student Information System and/or Customer Relationship Management system, as well as maintain and run reports from these systems for the assigned territory. Extensive prospective student profile management to include data entry, data analysis, emailing, calling, and texting. Plan travel according to state guidelines. Build mutually beneficial, positive working relationships with assigned high school counselors and representatives. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency with Microsoft office and relevant technology required Extensive travel is a mandatory job requirement; therefore, applicants must be able to qualify to drive on state business. Ability to take direction and organize multiple tasks and documents that have been concurrently assigned. Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment. Ability to work collaboratively and independently with common goals as a part of a team. Effective interpersonal communication, writing and organizational abilities. Ability to be organized and meet deadlines. Attention to detail. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree. Valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a higher education environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar technology platforms. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written. Experience in recruiting. Demonstrated engagement and involvement in community. Work Location, Environment, and Physical Demands: Duties include office work and travel around Arkansas and bordering states. Travel will be mandatory with some overnight stays.
