PrideStaff Financial on behalf of a construction company is seeking an experienced and professional Accountant who can manage, analyze and reports on company's financial records.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance.
- Create profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and other financial statements to present the necessary information to the management
- Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
- Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
- Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries.
- Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
- Maintains historical records by filing documents.
- Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Calculating taxes and submitting tax returns to comply with the law
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
- Make and evaluate the organization's year-end financial accounts
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited university
- 7+ years of experience in a professional accounting position
- Demonstrable capacity for attention-to-detail, adaptability, and creativity
- Knowledge of finance law and regulatory standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Be a hands-on, proactive business partner with other business leaders to identify and solve problems, and drive process improvement and growth
Must be able to submit to a background check and a drug screen
