Senior Accountant

PrideStaff Financial on behalf of a client is looking for an experienced and professional Senior Accountant who can manage full-cycle accounting processes, including month-end and year-end closings. Please apply today!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, cash flow statements, and forecasts
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes and systems
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide recommendations
  • Assist in budgeting, job costing, and forecasting activities
  • Manage fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules
  • Prepare and file various tax returns and reports
  • Implement and maintain accounting software and systems
  • Conduct financial analysis for special projects and initiatives

Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior role
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
