  • Position: Accountant
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p

THE POSITION: The Accountants primary responsibility is supporting the Finance department in implementing and maintaining financial systems, analyzing, monitoring, reconciling and reporting financial data and ensuring application of sound accounting principles.

  • Reconciles and prepares financial reports on a monthly basis, including balance sheet, income statement, and other reports.
  • Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
  • Assists with creating, implementing and applying sound accounting principles, policies, and procedures.
  • In addition to day-to-day activities, special projects as assigned.
  • Collaborates with other accounting/finance staff.
  • Assists with year-end reporting and review.
  • Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital. Interprets current financial data and works with internal teams for analysis.
  • Tracks fixed assets.
  • Collects appropriate data for federal, state, and local reports and tax returns.
  • Identifies and troubleshoots anomalies, recommends resolutions.
  • Recommends improvements and/or procedural changes.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; or 2+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • PDN/Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing and financial software.
  • Exceptionally organized, multi-tasking, problem solving and communication and strong keyboard skills. A high level of initiative combined with a customer service mentality is also required.
  • Experience in Brightree EHR a plus!

Pediatric Home Service is a pediatric home health agency that has provided high quality DME and nursing services to children that are medically fragile since 1990. Our services allow our clients to remain and thrive in their homes, schools, and communities. The majority of the clients we serve are ages birth through 21 years old and have a variety of technologies that might include a trach, ventilator or g-tube.

SALARY RANGE:

At PHS, we are committed to providing specialized care for medically complex children. Every role, from direct patient care to customer support, plays a vital part in improving the lives of kids and families. The impact you make is invaluable. We are dedicated to offering fair and transparent compensation to our team members. The range for this role is $49,290 to $54,219 yearly, based on experience and qualifications.
