Base pay range

$65,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

Syntax Talent Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our clients team in Timonium, MD. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, performing bank and general ledger reconciliations, processing invoices, and preparing journal entries.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform timely and accurate bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are recorded.
- Conduct general ledger reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Process invoices and ensure proper documentation and approval.
- Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate and complete financial reporting.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation for audit and review purposes.
- Collaborate with the finance team to support various accounting projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience in bank reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation.
- Strong understanding of invoice processing and journal entry preparation.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
