Base pay range

$80,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr

My Client is Houston, Texas is seeking a Plant Accountant. You will be responsible for overseeing the accounting for the manufacturing plant.

The incumbent should have meaningful exposure and experienced as Plant Accountant / Controller, to managing people and processes within an online ERP environment, have strong problem-solving skills, and work well with personnel at all levels in the organization.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Completing the month-end accounting and closing
• Includes plant accounting and other department costs
• Developing processes around all aspects of accounts payable processing for the Group of companies.
• Understand production cost variances for the plant and the key drivers
• Work with the Group Cost Accountant to ensure accuracy and integrity of month-end inventory balances.
• Examine accounting records and prepare financial statements and reports.
• Prepare Monthly Working papers.
• Train new accounting personnel on established procedures for the manufacturing plants.

Qualification:

• CPA or CMA and a Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field (essential).
• Minimum 5 years of accounting (standard costing environment) work experience (essential).
• Experience with QuickBooks, Epicor or similar ERP (essential).
• Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational and prioritizing skills
• Advanced Excel User.
• Has integrity with the ability to handle confidential information.
