$90,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr

Our client, a well-established organization in the public sector, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional with strong technical skills.

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and municipal accounting standards
• Oversee account reconciliations and journal entries
• Assist with budget preparation, monitoring, and forecasting
• Perform financial analysis to support decision-making
• Ensure compliance with state and local reporting requirements
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve processes and systems
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Prior experience in a municipal or public-sector accounting role required
• Proficiency with Munis (Tyler Technologies) is essential
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and governmental accounting standards
• Advanced Excel skills; attention to detail; strong analytical ability
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
