Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Payroll Accountant to join our finance team. This entry-level position is responsible for processing payroll and T&E reimbursement using Paycom. Additionally, you will support general accounting functions, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and assist with Accounts Payable (AP) tasks.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Process semi-monthly payroll and weekly T&E reimbursement in Paycom.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
• Assist in preparing payroll reports, including tax filings and year-end statements.
• Prepare payroll related, T&E and other month-end journal entries.
• Reconcile payroll accounts to ensure all payroll-related transactions are recorded properly.
• Process 401k transactions and perform relevant schedule and account reconciliations.
• Support Senior Accountant in month-end close responsibilities.
• Assists with Accounts Payable tasks to ensure timely and accurate payment processing.
• Other duties as needed or assigned.
  
  

• Accounting degree or degree in a business-related major with emphasis in accounting, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in general accounting and payroll or equivalent experience.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to work standard business hours.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines efficiently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook.
• Paycom and SAP experience preferred.
