Pay Rate: $44.34 to $53.21/hr Job Summary:
Our client, a global off-price retail leader, is seeking a Senior Accountant to support corporate finance initiatives with a focus on external reporting, financial analysis, and process optimization. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing SEC filings, analyzing consolidated financial statements, and ensuring adherence to U.S. GAAP and SOX controls. This role is ideal for a driven, analytical professional with a strong foundation in accounting and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze consolidated financial statements and supporting disclosures (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) with precision and timeliness.
• Develop and file SEC reporting documents, including press releases, Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, and the Annual Report.
• Independently manage complex accrual journal entries and ensure the accuracy of the financial statements.
• Complete timely and accurate account reconciliations, including variance analysis and completeness checks.
• Lead and execute special projects, including preparing executive-ready presentations for senior leadership.
• Collaborate across global finance and operational teams, engaging stakeholders and driving discussions.
• Analyze trends and coordinate with finance and operating teams to update forecasts and investigate variances.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency.
• Ensure all transactions comply with U.S. GAAP and execute/review SOX controls.
• Research and interpret new accounting standards and analyze competitor financial disclosures.
• Prepare benefit plan financial statements and assist with related audits.
• Review XBRL tagging for SEC filings.

Required Experience:

• 2-4 years of experience in Accounting, Audit, or related Finance roles
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong foundation in U.S. GAAP and financial statement analysis
• Experience preparing and executing journal entries and reconciliations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts)

Nice-to-Have Experience:

• CPA or MBA
• Experience with Onestream or Oracle
• Familiarity with XBRL and Workiva (or similar software)
• Experience working in a retail, public accounting, or SEC reporting environment
• Prior presentation experience to management
