Our client is an organization in the Dane County area that’s looking for a Staff Accountant. Our client is looking for someone with 2+ years of experience, driven, and organized. This company offers internal growth opportunities, flexibility, and a great work/life balance. This position is onsite.

The salary for this position is $50k - $70k.

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepares and maintains general ledger entries and reconciles financial statements.
  • Assists with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Prepares financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Assists in audits by providing required documents and schedules.
  • Manages accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
  • Reconciles bank statements and resolves discrepancies.
  • Ensures accurate and timely submission of payroll and tax filings.
  • Monitors compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Assist with sales commissions and vendor rebate programs.

The Staff Accountant will possess the following:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Associate's Degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
  • 2+ years of related experience.
  • Experience with manufacturing and distribution.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with payroll processing and tax fillings desired.
