Key Responsibilities

• Lead quarterly and year-end close procedures with precision and efficiency.
• Conduct in-depth quarter-end financial reporting and variance analysis to drive strategic insights.
• Perform meticulous reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
• Prepare and update general ledger entries with accuracy and foresight.
• Oversee and analyze quarterly POC and WIP schedules to ensure project financial integrity.
• Partner with operations to enhance work order tracking and job costing for precise project financials.
• Manage accounts payable (A/P), processing vendor invoices and ensuring timely payments.
• Oversee accounts receivable (A/R), monitoring customer invoices and payments.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline billing and payment processes.
• Drive treasury management, including cash planning and forecasting, to optimize financial resources.
• Support the CFO in year-end activities, liaising with external accounting firms, tax planning, and financial reporting.
• Interface with Shared Services and CFOs of related company-owned businesses to align financial strategies.
• Develop and maintain clear, up-to-date work instructions and process documentation.
• Tackle additional high-impact duties as needed to support company growth.
• Analyze complex financial data to uncover trends, identify cost-saving opportunities, and inform strategic decisions.
• Ensure strict compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory standards.
• Provide actionable financial insights to cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives.
• Support audits by delivering thorough documentation to internal and external auditors.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and champion process innovation.
  
  

Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
• Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience, with a proven track record of excellence.
• Experience in manufacturing, construction, or project-based environments strongly preferred.
• Deep expertise in GAAP and internal controls.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MS Office, ERP systems, Excel); SAGE experience a plus.
• Exceptional ability to manage multiple priorities, juggle critical tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
• Outstanding leadership, organizational, and communication skills to inspire and collaborate.
• Superior critical thinking and problem-solving skills to tackle complex financial challenges.
• Proficiency in financial analysis and interpreting intricate financial data.
• Certifications such as CPA or CMA are highly desirable but not required.
