Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our client and provide essential support in financial operations. This permanent, onsite position located near King of Prussia, PA, focuses on analyzing credit balances, processing refunds, applying payments, and ensuring accuracy in accounts receivable activities. The role also offers opportunities to contribute to audits and support daily banking functions.

Compensation:

• $55,000 annually plus bonus opportunity
  
  

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, standard business hours
  
  

Key Responsibilities of the Junior Accountant:

• Review client accounts to identify, reconcile, and clear outstanding credits
• Prepare and process refunds, including special cases related to adjustments or corrections
• Maintain accurate tracking of account activity for closed or inactive accounts
• Partner with internal teams to resolve payment issues and invoice discrepancies
• Support auditors by providing documentation and assisting with invoice corrections
• Contribute to cash management by assisting with deposits and ensuring payments are applied correctly
• Provide timely follow-up on denied or disputed refunds to maintain positive customer relationships
• Handle high-volume transaction days by applying cash receipts efficiently
• Take on additional accounting and administrative projects as needed
  
  

Qualifications and Skills for the Junior Accountant:

• Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting degree preferred)
• Prior accounting experience with emphasis in accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
• Strong foundation in accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and strong math aptitude
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision
• Commitment to learning and contributing to a positive team environment
