CV Resources is partnering with a well-respected manufacturing company in Albany to identify a Staff Accountant to join their team.

This is a full-time, in-person opportunity ideal for a candidate who enjoys the pace and complexity of a manufacturing cost accounting environment. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting internal reporting, and contributing to process improvement initiatives across departments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements (cash flow, P&L, balance sheet) and account reconciliations
• Participate in the month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Assist with questions and documentation related to tax returns
• File limited sales tax reports
• Process vendor payments, match POs to invoices, and invoice customers
• Coordinate bank deposits and monitor cash flow
• Track and reconcile bank accounts and credit card transactions
• Properly record payroll and benefits using ADP TotalSource
• Maintain A/R and A/P processes
• Assist with cleanup and data integrity in QuickBooks Online
• Perform other duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
• 2+ years of full-cycle accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial concepts
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High level of accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Experience with QuickBooks and ADP TotalSource preferred
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing cost accounting setting
  
  

Compensation: $50,000 – $53,000/year
