Position: Revenue Accountant

Responsibilities

• Process and record monthly oil, gas, and NGL sales revenues from purchasers.
• Calculate and distribute revenue to working interest and royalty owners based on DOI setups.
• Review purchaser statements, resolve discrepancies, and coordinate with land and operations teams.
• Prepare and issue revenue distribution reports and owner statements.
• Assist with severance tax filings and production reporting, as needed.
• Prepare and post monthly JIB invoices in accordance with COPAS guidelines and JOAs.
• Allocate expenses to working interest partners using appropriate ownership percentages and AFEs.
• Respond to JIB inquiries and work with partners to resolve discrepancies or disputes.
• Maintain accurate DOI and AFE records in the accounting system.
• Assist with overhead calculations and operator fee allocations.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of oil & gas accounting experience with a focus on revenue and/or JIB.
• Proficiency with oil & gas accounting software (e.g., WolfePak, Ogsys, Quorum, Bolo, etc.).
• Working knowledge of COPAS, joint operating agreements, and division orders.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to manipulate large datasets.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
