Description: The Staff Accountant plays a vital role in supporting the Accounting team across Ault Solutions and its related business units. Responsibilities include preparing and reconciling general ledger accounts for three companies, maintaining accrual and prepaid accounts, assisting with audits and budgets, and managing intercompany billing and invoicing.

Essential Job Functions

This role provides financial support to both operationally based companies and a manufacturing division, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and consistency in all accounting functions. As a representative of Ault Solutions, the Staff Accountant is expected to uphold our core values and actively support our mission to Honor God, Help People, and Save Lives through diligent financial stewardship and service excellence. Requirements:

• Approve AP invoices and ensure accurate sales tax filings
• Maintain amortization, prepaid, and depreciation schedules
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Manage inventory adjustments and intercompany transactions
• Update and communicate market P&Ls
• Ensure accurate project cost tracking, track bids, and payment schedules
• Various AR duties, including posting of invoices and tracking of aged receivables
  
  

Work Environment And Time Requirements

The Staff Accountant works a standard work week in an office environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent
• CPA or CPA candidate is a plus (you will be working under a CPA in this role)
• 2+ years of experience in AP/AR/general ledger accounting
• Proficient in Excel
• Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with construction accounts.
• Experience in manufacturing (WIP and Finished Goods)
• Experience with SAP and Hyphen Solutions (e.g. SupplyPro) software.
• Experience with month-end reconciliation workpapers
