The Senior Accountant will prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.

This role will oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations perform cost accounting activities including job costing, inventory valuation, and cost variance analysis and develop and maintain standard costs and analyze cost fluctuations to support management decision-making.

The Senior Accountant will coordinate and assist with internal and external audits and ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax filings and reporting.

The Senior Accountant will develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls and mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff.

In this role you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities, with a focus on cost control and efficiency and identify process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting and cost accounting operations.

You will assist with special projects, financial analysis, and ad hoc reporting as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.

5+ years of progressive accounting experience including cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing, construction, or similar industry.

Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting principles, and inventory valuation methods.

Proficiency in accounting and ERP software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP) and advanced Excel skills.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Experience supervising or mentoring junior accounting staff is a plus.
