A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Reporting and Group Accountant who will play a crucial role in the delivery of accurate, compliant financial reporting and effective management information within the company that supports key decision-making.

The Group Accountant role supports the Group Financial Director, and the Group Finance team in meeting the group’s internal and external reporting requirements.

This role ensures that the Company remains fully compliant with local reporting and tax regulations and principles in Ireland and the United States of America.

This is a permanent role.

Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for the consolidation of group accounts, including entities in Ireland and US.
  2. Perform all relevant consolidation tasks ensuring intercompany transactions are accurately eliminated.
  3. End to end preparation and oversee group wide monthly reporting (including P&L, Balance Sheet and cashflows).
  4. Provide support and guidance to the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  5. Develop and implement new financial policies, ensuring adherence to relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  6. Preparation of the statutory and regulatory group reports.
  7. Analysis and interpretation of financial data to provide insights on group performance.
  8. Ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  9. Implementation and management of the Annual Report process.
  10. Drive improvements in monthly reporting and internal processes, focusing on efficiency, accuracy and automation.
  11. Development and implementation of internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure data integrity.
  12. Management of intercompany loan balances and calculation of interest.
  13. Accounting for group relevant headings such as investments and acquisitions, hedges and borrowing costs, FX valuations, provisions, etc.
  14. Coordination and monitoring of internal and external reporting deadlines.
  15. Equity and external funding reconciliation and reporting.
  16. Assistance with the preparation of ESG reporting.
  17. Lead and rollout of enhancements to the AIQ platform, ensuring optimal use.
  18. Facilitate efficient interactions with auditors and senior personnel.
  19. Assistance with implementing changes in the finance department as dictated by business needs.
  20. Working to tight deadlines, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  21. Work with the Financial Director on ad-hoc Finance projects.

Requirements:

  1. Min 3-5 years of solid financial accounting and business analysis experience
  2. Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA or CIMA)
  3. Strong technical accounting, Financial Reporting and consolidation skills and experience
  4. People Management Skills
  5. Report writing skills (planning effectively, ease of comprehension and simplicity)
  6. Experience in energy renewable/construction advantageous.
  7. Working knowledge of Accounts IQ platform advantageous
