Staff Accountant for Wound Care / Hyperbaric Outpatient Healthcare Clinics

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Staff Accountant to play a key role in the financial management of our multi-site clinic operations.

Position Overview:

The Staff Accountant will play a key role in the financial management of our multi-site clinic operations. Reporting to the VP of Finance, this position will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and supporting the month-end close process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting within the healthcare industry, with at least 3 years of relevant experience. A CPA certification is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  2. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  3. Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and intercompany transactions.
  4. Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
  5. Analyze financial data and provide reports to management for decision-making.
  6. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  7. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations specific to healthcare operations.
  8. Collaborate with clinic managers and other departments to maintain accurate financial data across multiple locations.
  9. Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and work closely with external auditors.
  10. Support payroll processing and ensure proper expense allocation.
  11. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes and reporting.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in a healthcare setting.
  3. Strong knowledge of GAAP and healthcare financial reporting standards.
  4. CPA certification or progress toward CPA preferred.
  5. Experience with NetSuite accounting software, preferably in a multi-site healthcare environment.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  7. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  8. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  9. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
