We are looking for a hands-on Sr. Accountant to assist with all aspects of the organization's accounting functions. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented and open to challenges that may extend beyond accounting and into operational functions. This person will also take on each task with a high degree of professional integrity.

We are looking for a hands-on Sr. Accountant to assist with all aspects of the organization's accounting functions. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented and open to challenges that may extend beyond accounting and into operational functions. This person will also take on each task with a high degree of professional integrity.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close, including preparation of journal entries, fixed asset management, reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts, variance analysis of the financial statements, and creation of supporting month-end documentation.
• Assist in developing inventory system including tracking/valuing all materials, work in progress (WIP), and finished goods at month-end. Oversee cycle count program and annual physical inventory count. Assist with annual overhead rate calculations.
• Support schedules required by the parent company for internal and external (SEC) reporting and for use in the preparation of the tax provision and tax return.
• Work with external auditors and respond to various financial audit-related requests.
• Provide other financial, administrative, and operational support as needed.
• Perform other related ad-hoc reporting and analysis as necessary.
  
  

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s in Accounting.
• Minimum of five years of relevant industry experience (industrial manufacturing/Defense contracting).
• Strong cost-accounting background.
• Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) requirements is a plus.
• Experience in developing standard cost and deriving indirect rates is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to clearly express an opinion or interpretation of various analysis, schedules, or statements.
• General working knowledge of ERP reporting packages, with direct experience with Epicor/Kinetic being a plus.
• Highly responsive to customer requirements, with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible and able to multi-task in a time-sensitive environment.
  
  

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience.
• Understanding of standard costing.
• Cost accounting experience is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $105000.00/yr.

start with 3 weeks of PTO and after a year will accrue up to 4 weeks of PTO. Can enroll in company sponsored benefit plans such as health, dental vision, disability, and supplemental. Automatically enrolled in short term disability and life/AD&D and Ridge pays 100% of those premiums
