About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing team in Smyrna, GA. This role is best suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment, takes initiative, and enjoys rolling up their sleeves to get the work done. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in month-end close, reconciliations, and supporting the accuracy of our financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities

  • Own the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews
  • Perform manual reconciliations in Excel (QuickBooks experience is a strong plus)
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all reconciliations and financial data
  • Work heavily in QuickBooks and Excel, with strong use of VLOOKUPs and some pivot tables
  • Assist with AP/AR tasks on occasion, as needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and support business operations
  • Adapt to evolving responsibilities as the company's accounting needs expand
Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a Senior Accountant
  • Strong proficiency in Excel
  • Solid experience with QuickBooks preferred
  • Proven track record of completing manual reconciliations and month-end close independently
  • Strong hands-on experience with journal entries, account/bank reconciliations, and balance sheets
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment
Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Familiarity with AP/AR processes (able to step in when needed)

Day in the Life

In this role, you'll spend a significant amount of time in QuickBooks, with manual reconciliations and month-end close as your primary focus at the start. As you get up to speed and help us catch up on the books, your responsibilities will expand to include additional senior accountant duties and special projects.
