As Staff Accountant, you will be an integral member of the accounting team, performing accounting activities and ensuring the accuracy of the financial statements through interactions with the accounting team and various departments. Areas of responsibility may include inventory and distribution or general accounting as needs arise

This role provides flexibility to work in a hybrid environment of home and our Westlake Village, CA office. (Hybrid is defined as 3 times per week in the office).

Responsibilities

Primary Accountabilities:

• Participate in the close process by preparing journal entries and related analysis.
• Prepare accruals and ensure account balances are complete and accurate.
• Support the GR/IR process, ensuring timely resolution of open transactions.
• Prepare account reconciliations and ensure reconciling items are resolved timely.
• Identify improvements to processes and procedures.
• Assist management in special projects
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

Experience, Knowledge, & Skills You Bring:

• 3+ years of experience in accounting with close experience, CPG a plus
• Understanding of GAAP and IFRS
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Ability to learn new systems required, experience with SAP and Blackline preferred.

Education & Certification:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business (Accounting preferred)
• CPA or equivalent a plus
  
  

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit and use the computer for extended periods of time; ability to answer phones and use a variety of office equipment; ability to lift 15 pounds and reach overhead.
  
  

Travel Requirements:

• Occasional travel may be required

Hiring Pay Scale: $75,000 to $85,000

The pay rate offered will consider a wide range of factors, including but not limited to experience, education, accomplishments, and location.
