Northwest Center (NWC) is seeking a Project Accountant to join our team.
Founded in 1965 by Washington parents of children with disabilities, NWC provides services for people with disabilities from cradle through career. Our culture is OneNWC, where everyone is connected, valued, included, and welcomed.
LithtexNW, part of the Northwest Center family, is looking to add a Project Accountant to support our Bellingham team.
As Project Accountant, you will provide essential financial and administrative services to LithtexNW, supporting accounts payable and receivable, cash management, and financial reporting. You will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity across projects, supporting budgeting efforts, and analyzing financial data for decision-making. There are also opportunities to collaborate on customer billing and monitor account activity, contributing to a high-functioning, detail-oriented team.

Location: Bellingham, WA
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
Wage Range: $31.25 - $36.05 per hour

Responsibilities:
  • Process accounts payable, including coding, approvals, invoice management, and payments
  • Manage accounts receivable, including billing and invoicing
  • Handle daily cash deposits, receipts, and postings
  • Conduct financial data analysis for projects
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports and schedules
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
  • Support budgeting, expenditure tracking, and financial analysis
  • Audit records and support billing and accounts payable processes
  • Analyze trends and costs to support decision-making
  • Monitor past-due accounts and process credit card payments
Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree in Accounting or related field required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • Two or more years of experience in accounting/finance
  • Proficiency with an Accounting ERP system
  • Excellent customer service skills and professionalism
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team
