We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial information, maintaining accurate financial records, and generating reports that track assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and tax liabilities. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, especially in Project and/or fixed asset accounting, and a proactive approach to supporting financial operations across the organization.

What You’ll Be Doing

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial information, maintaining accurate financial records, and generating reports that track assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and tax liabilities. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, especially in Project and/or fixed asset accounting, and a proactive approach to supporting financial operations across the organization.

Reporting to the Controller you’ll primarily work with our accounting team and business to deliver the best-in-class accounting practices, service and support.

A Highlight Of Your Day-to-day Will Include

• General Ledger Management: Oversee and maintain portions of the general ledger, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Account Reconciliation: Perform reconciliations for balance sheet accounts (bank, accounts receivable, accounts payable, etc.) to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
• Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation of SALT & Personal Property tax returns and support tax audits. Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
• Fixed Asset Management: Maintain records for fixed assets, track additions and deletions, calculate monthly depreciation and rent amounts, and manage Construction in Progress (CIP) tools. Conduct monthly meetings to update CIP and determine asset status.
• Internal Controls: Monitor and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
• Month-End Close Support: Participate in the month-end closing process, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.

Who We Are Looking For

We’re looking for someone who has a passion for managing and improving our accounting practices and comes with the following skills, education and experience.

• BA Degree in Accounting required, (CPA preferred)
• 3+ years of strong technical accounting experience (Public accounting experience a plus)
• GL accounting, journal entries, project accounting
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
