Job Description: The Security Officer inspects, monitors, controls, and patrols work sites, assigned facilities, and/or people. Responsibilities include collecting and completing paperwork, maintaining security at hospital outlets, and conducting safety inspections. The position relies on guidelines, experience, and judgment, working under general supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep daily reports accurate and neat.
• Check equipment to ensure safety.
• Understand the access control system.
• Carry out assignments as directed.
• Understand and follow policies and procedures.
• Handle confidential information appropriately.
• Report security incidents to supervisor.
• Handle emergency/crisis situations appropriately.
• Manage potentially violent situations with correct behavior.
• Assist others as needed and enforce organizational rules with a pleasant attitude.
• Support the Mission and Values of OLOL.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities for all populations.
• Perform 12 organizational Service Standards focused on Values, Service, and Quality.

Qualifications:

• No experience required; 5 years of good driving experience with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years, and zero DUI or reckless driving convictions. Motor vehicle/driver’s record checks may be conducted throughout employment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Interpersonal and human relations skills, along with oral and written communication skills.
• Valid LA driver’s license or obtain one within the probationary period if coming from out of state.
