Cherokee Casino Grove is seeking a Lead Security Guard to join our winning team! In this role, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all individuals within the property. This position involves supervising security personnel, responding to incidents, and ensuring the overall safety and well-being of guests, employees, and assets.
NOTE: This position is considered safety-sensitive and is subject to pre-employment and random drug testing. Please note that a positive drug test result, including for marijuana, may result in a job offer being rescinded for applicants or termination of employment for current employees, even if they possess a valid medical marijuana license.
Qualifications- High school diploma or GED and at least 3 years experience in security or law enforcement.
- Valid State of Oklahoma Council of Law Enforcement, Education, and Training (CLEET) armed security guard license required.
- A Cherokee Nation Armed Security Officer license is required.
- Working knowledge of firearms and defensive tactics.
- Working knowledge of surveillance systems and chain of evidence procedures.
- Ability to pass CNE security-approved custody control and weapons training.
- Ability to obtain and maintain licensing by the appropriate gaming authority.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to remain calm and collected under pressure.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work in a variety of settings, including outdoors in all types of weather.
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds.
- Respond to incidents, including providing first aid and CPR when necessary.
- Prevent guests from entering premises with prohibited items.
- Coordinate security resources with other departments.
- Deploy resources effectively to ensure a timely response to incidents.
- Respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Maintain strong working relationships with local law enforcement and emergency services.
- Prepare and maintain detailed written reports of all incidents.
- Review, edit, and distribute reports completed by security personnel.
- Assist in managing key access for employees and generate reports as needed.
- Ensure compliance with CNE age requirements and policies.
- Supervise and guide the work of other security personnel.
