As an Armed Security Guard, you'll be a critical component of our security team, responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all Cherokee Nation Entertainment (CNE) properties, guests, and employees. This role requires a vigilant and proactive approach to security, including patrols, incident response, and maintaining compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. You'll work closely with local law enforcement and leadership to uphold a secure and welcoming environment.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 6 months of experience in security or a related field.

  • State of Oklahoma Council of Law Enforcement, Education, and Training (CLEET) armed security guard license required.

  • Cherokee Nation Armed Security Officer license required.

  • Working knowledge of firearms and defensive tactics.

  • Working knowledge of surveillance video systems and how to maintain a chain of evidence.

  • Ability to pass a CNE security-approved custody control and weapons training.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain licensing by the appropriate gaming authority.

  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

  • Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs.

  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

  • Comfortable working in diverse settings, including climate-controlled offices, outdoors in all types of weather, and casino floors with exposure to second-hand smoke and crowd noise.

Responsibilities
  • Actively patrol CNE properties, including casinos, smoke shops, and parking lots, to protect physical assets, guests, and employees. Report all safety hazards to leadership.

  • Prevent guests from entering with prohibited items and address any violations of policies and procedures. Verify identification to ensure compliance with age requirements.

  • Greet guests, provide directions, and offer aid to anyone who requests or requires it.

  • Respond promptly to accidents and incidents, performing CPR and first aid procedures as needed.

  • Detect suspicious activity and behavior, notify leadership, and maintain detailed written incident reports following established policies.

  • Maintain strong working relationships with local law enforcement agencies and fire and safety departments.

  • Prepare written reports of investigations, criminal, and patrol activities. Interview witnesses and obtain signatures, ensuring compliance with legal regulations
