Overview
Security Guard - Outpatient at Comprehensive Treatment Centers. Part-time position within the Outpatient Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) in Calais, ME.
Responsibilities
- Monitor persons and vehicles entering and leaving the Clinic property.
- Provide support to ensure a safe environment and communicate concerns to the supervisor.
- Take the lead on light maintenance and environmental services duties at the Clinic.
- Perform routine safety inspections of Clinic monitoring devices.
- Other duties as assigned within the scope of the Clinic Safety Liaison role.
Work Schedule
Two days per week with Sunday mornings. Monday & Tuesday: 5:00 AM – 10:00 AM; Sunday: 6:00 AM – 9:30 AM. Shift end-time may vary based on the number of patients remaining in the lobby.

Your Education, Skills And Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
- Prior experience in security, corrections, law enforcement, or military.
- Experience working in a healthcare or patient/customer facing setting preferred.
- Strong preference for candidates with experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or substance use treatment settings.
- Excellent observational skills and good judgment.
- Ability to de-escalate tense situations calmly and professionally.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact respectfully and compassionately with patients, visitors, and staff.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations discreetly and maintain confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Must be comfortable with working in an opioid treatment program/recovery environment.
