Comprehensive Treatment Centers is hiring: Security Guard - Outpatient in Calais

Overview

Security Guard - Outpatient at Comprehensive Treatment Centers. Part-time position within the Outpatient Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) in Calais, ME.

Responsibilities

• Monitor persons and vehicles entering and leaving the Clinic property.
• Provide support to ensure a safe environment and communicate concerns to the supervisor.
• Take the lead on light maintenance and environmental services duties at the Clinic.
• Perform routine safety inspections of Clinic monitoring devices.
• Other duties as assigned within the scope of the Clinic Safety Liaison role.

Work Schedule

Two days per week with Sunday mornings. Monday & Tuesday: 5:00 AM – 10:00 AM; Sunday: 6:00 AM – 9:30 AM. Shift end-time may vary based on the number of patients remaining in the lobby.

Your Education, Skills And Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
• Prior experience in security, corrections, law enforcement, or military.
• Experience working in a healthcare or patient/customer facing setting preferred.
• Strong preference for candidates with experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or substance use treatment settings.
• Excellent observational skills and good judgment.
• Ability to de-escalate tense situations calmly and professionally.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact respectfully and compassionately with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Ability to handle sensitive situations discreetly and maintain confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Must be comfortable with working in an opioid treatment program/recovery environment.
