Overview

Security Guard - Part Time at New Horizon Family Health Services. Under the supervision of the Safety and Security Manager, the Security Guard - Part Time performs a variety of routine security-related duties to maintain a safe and secure environment of the Center.

Responsibilities

• Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, access points and permitting entry.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas.
• Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances; obtain help by sounding alarms and/or calling 911.
• Assist with safety and security-related requests and emergencies.
• Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures, and restraining trespassers when necessary.
• Direct traffic and manage vehicle movement as required.
• Maintain environment by monitoring building and equipment controls.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements to support the organization’s stability and reputation.
• Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, surveillance activities, interviewing witnesses, and obtaining signatures.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Travel between NHFHS sites to uphold standard concepts, practices, and procedures for security and safety.
• Assist with the completion of bank deposits at all sites on a regular basis.
• Assist Safety and Security Manager with conducting and recording Fire Drills for each location at least twice yearly.
• Observe company dress code.

Qualifications

Education

• REQUIRED: Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Education

• Associates degree or 2 years experience military, police or security

Experience

Experience

• REQUIRED: Minimum of one year experience as a Security Guard or in a related area.

• PREFERRED: Two years experience as a Security Guard, Police or Military
