Responsibilities:

  • Provide a loving, nurturing environment for babies to learn and play
  • Use games, and activities to teach new skills with our curriculum
  • Uphold the DCFS rules and regulations, in addition to the policies and procedures of Children's Lighthouse outlined in the employee handbook
  • Previous experience with babies required
  • Have fun!
Qualifications:

  • Background Check/Reference Check
  • Must meet local childcare regulatory requirements for lead teacher: 60 college credits in Early Childhood Education (ECE) -OR- 30 college credits, incl 6+ in ECE plus 1 year of child development experience in a school or center setting -OR- Completion of a DCFS-approved credentialing program
  • CPR/First Aid Certified or willingness to be certified
  • Flexibility to work between the hours of 7am-6:30pm depending on scheduling
  • Able to lift 35 pounds, sit, stand, kneel, and be active in a classroom setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Punctual and Dependable
