- CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
- BA Degree in Early Childhood Development (Preferred)
- Child Development Associate or (CDA) Credential
- Completed 12 core ECE Units Infant/toddler
- Must be physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors and outdoors
- Have the ability to engage physically, visually, and compassionately with not only children, but their parents and your peers.
- Classroom management skills: ability to ensure a safe and engaging environment,
- All center staff applicants must meet Illinois specific guidelines for the role
Responsibilites:
- Evaluate student progress
- Plan curriculum with varying developmental needs
- Track academic performance
- Guide and mentor other members of the teaching staff
- Meet with parents to discuss the needs and goals of students
- Meet with co-teachers in the classroom weekly for lesson planning development
- Attend weekly, bi-weekly and monthly staff meetings and trainings
