We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Art Teacher to join a high-performing charter school team serving students from Kindergarten through 4th grade. The ideal candidate will inspire creativity, support whole-child development, and contribute to a positive, engaging learning environment. This position is designed for a certified educator who believes all students can thrive when given access to high-quality, joyful, and rigorous instruction.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and deliver dynamic visual arts instruction aligned to state standards
Create a positive, structured classroom environment that supports student engagement and achievement
Collaborate closely with grade-level teams to align lessons, share best practices, and support students
Participate actively in school-wide professional development, data analysis, and planning sessions
Maintain regular communication with families regarding student progress and classroom updates
Incorporate character-building, identity development, and wellness into daily instruction
Use technology to enhance student learning and maintain documentation
Weekly PD sessions and coaching with leadership
Built-in planning periods and collaborative team meetings
Frequent observations and individualized feedback
Access to a school-wide support team including social workers, psychologists, nurses, and more
Bachelor’s Degree required
Valid Teaching Certification (CE, CEAS, or Standard Certificate) in Art
Previous teaching experience preferred (especially in charter or urban school settings)
Strong classroom management skills and a student-centered mindset
Commitment to educational equity and whole-child development

Data-driven instruction with a record of student growth
Collaborative and open to continuous feedback
