Position OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and compassionate ESL teachers (2) to support English Learners (EL) in grades 1 through 5. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in language development and culturally responsive practices to help students thrive academically, socially, and linguistically.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct ESL instruction to students in small group and/or inclusion settings across grades 1-5
  • Develop and implement engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with WIDA standards and students' language development levels
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to support integrated instruction and co-teaching models
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of language development/services
  • Conduct language proficiency assessments (e.g., ACCESS) and participate in the identification and reclassification process
  • Communicate regularly with families, including those from diverse linguistic backgrounds, to support student learning and engagement
  • Serve as an advocate for English Learners within the school community
  • Participate in professional development and school-based initiatives related to language equity and inclusive instruction
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's preferred)
  • Valid teaching license with ESL/ELL endorsement (required)
  • Experience working with elementary-aged English Learners
  • Knowledge of second language acquisition theory, WIDA standards, and culturally responsive teaching practices
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and continuous professional growth
