Assistant Infant teacher Job at Family Tree Ministry in Ledyard Center

Summary

Family Tree Ministry is seeking a patient and dependable Assistant Infant Teacher to support our faith-based program for children ages 6 weeks–12 months. You will help nurture and care for infants, supporting their growth through daily routines, play, and loving interaction in a Christ-centered environment.

Duties

• Provide attentive care through feeding, diapering, and comforting infants.
• Support safe sleep practices and maintain a calm, nurturing atmosphere.
• Engage infants in age-appropriate activities such as songs, reading, and play to encourage early development.
• Assist in keeping the classroom clean, sanitized, and organized.
• Partner with the lead teacher to follow individualized care plans.
• Communicate daily with parents and staff regarding each child’s needs and progress.

Requirements

• Must be at least 20 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional early childhood training preferred.
• Previous experience caring for infants in a professional or volunteer setting.
• Ability to follow safety and health guidelines, including safe sleep practices.
• Strong communication, teamwork skills, and take directions from lead teacher.
• Commitment to working in a faith-based, Christ-centered environment.
