This position is Monday - Friday 9:30 am - 6:30 pm with a 1 hour lunch break (unpaid)
There is no flexibility in the schedule for this position.

Job Description:
We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Assistant Infant Teacher to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with our lead infant teacher to care for and nurture infants (ages 6 weeks to 12 months) in a safe, loving, and stimulating environment. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about early childhood development and eager to support the growth of our youngest learners.

Responsibilities:


  • Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily routines and activities for infants, focusing on their safety, comfort, and development.
  • Provide individualized attention to each infant, helping with feeding, diapering, and other personal care needs.
  • Engage infants through age-appropriate activities that support cognitive, physical, and emotional development.
  • Foster a warm and nurturing environment, creating a positive atmosphere for both children and parents.
  • Assist in monitoring infants progress and report observations to the lead teacher.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
  • Support the lead teacher in maintaining communication with parents regarding their childs daily experiences and milestones.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associates degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred).
  • Previous experience working with infants or in a childcare setting is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of infant care and early childhood development.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • A nurturing, patient, and positive attitude.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience working with infants (6 weeks to 12 months) in a childcare or early childhood setting.
  • Familiarity with infant developmental milestones and appropriate learning activities.
