Responsibilities include transporting materials over designated routes, ensuring safe operation of vehicles, providing excellent customer service with prompt and courteous deliveries, verifying that materials loaded on the truck are as listed on the Ship Ticket and Delivery Manifest, securing materials for transport, unloading at delivery locations in an orderly fashion, and performing daily vehicle inspections. You will also be responsible for all aspects of warehouse functions including receiving, storing, handling, shipping and preparing products for customer delivery while maintaining the warehouse in an orderly fashion.

Safety and compliance: This is a safety-sensitive position. Candidates offered employment must undergo a pre-employment drug test testing for amphetamines, cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamines, opiates, oxycodone, and phencyclidines according to the cutoff levels set by HHS/SAMHSA. The USDOT Drug and Alcohol Testing Regulation (49 CFR Part 40) does not recognize 'medical marijuana' as a valid medical explanation for a positive THC test.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Android or iOS operating systems.
  • Valid driver’s license from the state of residence is required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of driving history.
  • A satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR), with no Type A violations or speeding violations exceeding 15 mph over the limit within the past three (3) years, and no more than one (1) Type B violation in the same time frame.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience operating a commercial motor vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 10,001 lbs. or greater within the last 36 months.
  • Strong skills in reading, writing, basic calculations, data entry, reasoning, and analysis.
  • The ability to work independently while managing a variety of tasks accurately in a team-oriented environment is required.

Physical Requirements

  • Must meet the physical qualifications to operate a motor vehicle in accordance with Section 391.41 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).
  • Regular visits to customer sites expose the employee to various weather conditions and environmental factors; adherence to each customer’s safety protocols is essential, with occasional exposure to hazards such as loud noise or moving machinery.
  • Frequent walking, bending, squatting, climbing, and kneeling; occasional pushing, pulling, and reaching.
  • Handling and lifting of objects up to 50 pounds with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.
