The position involves delivering products to stores on established routes or via dynamic dispatch, including convenience and gas stores, small supermarkets, and drug stores, with an average of 15-20 stops per day. The driver is responsible for unloading products, stocking shelves, building displays, setting up promotional materials, and generating invoices. Interaction with store management is frequent.
Physical Demands
This is a labor-intensive role requiring lifting, loading, and pushing/pulling 20-45 pounds repeatedly. The job also involves reaching, squatting, bending, and working in various weather conditions. Long hours may be required during peak seasons.
Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver products, serve customers, and execute promotions at multiple stores daily.
- Operate trucks requiring an appropriate CDL license, including basic driving functions and maneuvering in tight spaces.
- Service all scheduled customers by the end of each shift.
- Merchandise and rotate products according to local standards, including building displays and removing outdated stock.
- Use pallet jacks, hand trucks, and breakdowns to move products.
- Establish positive relationships with store contacts.
- Follow operating procedures and DOT regulations.
- Maintain reliable and predictable attendance.
