Responsibilities
Responsible for operating a Company vehicle to deliver products to customers. Manually loads and unloads delivery truck, verifies parts loaded and unloaded, collects payments from customers, obtains signatures from receiving locations confirming the accuracy of parts unloaded/loaded, and delivers returned items back to the branch.
Essential Job Duties
- Drives a Company vehicle in a safe, courteous, and responsible manner, avoiding traffic violations and accidents.
- Follows DOT Procedures. Vehicles driven have a gross weight of over 10,001 pounds, but less than 26,001 pounds.
- Physically loads the Company truck at the branch and verifies the condition of the truck, the manifest, and other related paperwork.
- Drives to delivery destinations, unloads the truck, verifies parts unloaded, obtains signatures confirming the accuracy of parts, and signs off on the integrity of the product.
- Notes proper information on the manifest and provides receipts for parts returned from customers.
- Picks up buy-out purchase orders from vendors and delivers parts back to the branch or customer.
- Collects accounts receivable as necessary.
- Prevents shortages and damage to products.
- Adheres to company policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Not responsible for supervising employees.
Basic Qualifications
Education & Experience
- At least 6 months of driving and warehouse operations experience.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record.
- Qualify for corporate vehicle insurance programs.
- Meet DOT testing and physical requirements, and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED; some college coursework is a plus.
- Knowledge of replacement parts for the aftermarket collision repair industry.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Basic math skills and ability to interpret graphs.
- Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle routine problems and follow procedures.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with moderate complexity.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Must be able to sit and drive for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Exposure to contaminants, extreme temperatures, and noise.
- Frequent travel required, including overnight travel.
