Position Overview
The Receptionist receives and assists patients and visitors, answers telephone calls, and organizes appointments. He/She helps to facilitate patient care by carrying out the Receptionist responsibilities in a professional, efficient, and accurate manner.

- Facilitates patient care by carrying out receptionist duties in a professional, efficient, and accurate manner.
Qualifications
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent required.
- License: N/A
- Certifications: Must have de-escalation training completed by the end of position orientation (90 days); must have appropriate level of de-escalation training.
- Experience: Experience in a clerical or secretarial role in a healthcare-related setting preferred.
- Seniority level: Entry level
- Reports To: Practice Administrator
- Supervises: None
- Physical Demands: Work is moderately active: involves sitting with frequent movement around the office and facility; may travel within the SRHS service area. May involve lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling light objects. Repetitive keyboard use and need for fine visual acuity; exposure to routine office environment.
- Mental Demands: Keen mental faculties and decision-making abilities; strong communication skills; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; attention to detail and multi-tasking.
- Special Demands: Superior customer service skills and professional etiquette; proficient knowledge of computer use and office technology (keyboard, MS Outlook, Word); ability to apply clinical judgment with patients of all ages.
