Overview
Receptionist role at Unique Orthodontics. The ideal candidate has dental experience, particularly in orthodontic procedures, and excels in customer service. You will greet patients and create a welcoming atmosphere while performing a variety of administrative tasks to support our clinical team. Travel across 8 office locations. Schedule: 5 Days per Week (Monday through Saturday). Location: Various office locations. Pay Rate: $21 - $24 per hour, plus eligible performance-based incentives.
Base pay range
$21.00/hr - $24.00/hr
Key Responsibilities
- Check in and out patients
- Verify patient demographics
- Schedule appointments
- Follow up on missed, canceled, and rescheduled appointments
- Scan and manage patient documents
- Send referrals for dental procedures
- Maintain and clear out the appointment grid
- Respond to emails promptly
- Monitor and manage the lobby area
- Keep the front office organized and tidy
- Prepare and send patient correspondence and letters
- Follow up on online reviews
- Create a positive and welcoming front office environment
- Stock bathroom and lobby supplies
- Ensure organization and cleanliness of the workspace
- Follow up on cavity clearances
- Coordinate appointments with other healthcare providers
- Engage with patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls efficiently
- Schedule new patient appointments
- Maintain communication with clinical team members
- Document all patient interactions accurately
- Manage inventory of office supplies
- Prepare all new patient packets
- Create and maintain patient charts
- Audit patient charts for accuracy and completeness
- Responsible for opening and closing procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Fluent in Spanish.
- Knowledge of orthodontic field procedures and terminology.
- Knowledge of HIPAA standards and handling of Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Proficient in phone communication.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fastpaced office environment while maintaining professionalism.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for long periods in front of a computer.
- Ability to stand and walk in the office.
