Overview
Solon Veterinary Hospital has an opportunity for a Veterinary Receptionist to join our team! Located in Solon, Ohio, we are a small animal, 2-doctor practice committed to serving our clients and growing in veterinary medicine.
Location: 6475 Richmond Rd., Solon, OH 44139
Shift Details: Full-time (30+ hours/week). Must be available for opening and closing shifts, including rotating Saturdays.
Pay Range: $16.00 - $17.00/hour (based on experience)

Job Summary: The Receptionist is the first and last contact clients have with the hospital. Must have excellent client service, communication skills, computer literacy, and the ability to handle payments and stressful situations. Supports veterinarians, technicians, and staff in daily care.
Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and pets warmly
- Answer phones professionally and route calls
- Schedule appointments and surgeries
- Document client conversations accurately
- Process charges and explain invoices
- Collect payments and verify client accounts
- Update and maintain medical and contact records
- Fill prescriptions and provide instructions
- Advise clients on retail products and preventive care
Qualifications:

- Knowledge of veterinary terminology
- Excellent spelling and grammar
- Ability to handle emotional situations tactfully
