Responsibilities

  • Master Insurance Verification: Verifies coverage BEFORE services are provided to prevent claim denials and maximize revenue capture.
  • Excel at Financial Counseling: Explains costs, billing processes, and insurance complexities to patients clearly.
  • Solve Billing Problems: Identifies and resolves insurance discrepancies and billing issues before they impact revenue.
  • Drive Patient Satisfaction: Delivers exceptional service during financial conversations while handling payments.
  • Be the Face of AFC: Greet patients with warmth and professionalism.
  • Own the Front Desk Flow: Process payments, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-ins efficiently.
  • Protect Patient Information: Maintain organized records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

  • You have experience with insurance verification and medical billing.
  • You can explain complex insurance concepts with empathy and clarity.
  • You are detail‑oriented and understand that a single digit error can have significant impact.
  • You have worked as a Medical Receptionist, Administrative Assistant, or in a medical office customer service role.
