Suncoast Behavioral Health Center offers a unique treatment program across inpatient, partial and intensive outpatient settings for children and adolescents. The hospital aims to promote cognitive, social, physical and emotional development and to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills to help patients succeed.
Responsibilities
- Operate the facility switchboard and route calls to the correct department in a prompt, courteous manner.
- Make announcements on the paging system.
- Receive customers into the facility, greet and direct visitors appropriately within the hospital.
- Sort and route incoming postal mail and courier deliveries.
- Greet visitors and assist them as needed.
- Assist with word processing assignments and special projects as requested.
- Maintain confidentiality.
Requirements
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Two (2) years of receptionist/secretarial experience required; one (1) year in a healthcare setting preferred. Able to operate a multi-line switchboard. Strong interpersonal and telephone etiquette, clear enunciation, and ability to work with diverse customers. Good verbal and written communication and word processing skills.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Physical requirements: extensive sitting and typing; limited walking/standing.
