This position requires a dedicated individual who is committed to providing exceptional care in various settings, including home care, group homes, and long-term care facilities.
Duties
- Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, feeding, and medication administration.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in the client's condition to appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Support clients in engaging in social activities and community involvement to promote their overall well-being.
- Lift and transfer clients safely as needed while adhering to proper techniques to prevent injury.
- Document care provided and any significant changes in the client's behavior or health status.
Experience
- Previous experience in care-giving or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and medication administration is advantageous.
- A background in nursing or home care settings is a plus.
License/Certification:
- APD ZERO TOLERANCE CERTIFICATION (Required)
