Industrial Maintenance Electrician

General Shale Brick, the nation’s leading manufacturer of brick and masonry products, is seeking an industrial maintenance electrician for our facility in Spring City, TN.

Responsibilities:

  • Test/troubleshoot electrical components such as motors or pumps and replace or repair as needed.

  • Ensuring proper operation of production equipment by performing predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance.

  • Follow diagrams, sketches, prints, and equipment manuals.

  • Use hand tools, multi-meter, power tools, levels, etc.

  • Operate forklifts, hoist, and power equipment.

  • Communicate with machine operators to troubleshoot issues.

An ideal candidate will have the opportunity to apply his/her knowledge to a highly automated manufacturing facility while learning and training on the following systems:

  • Programmable Logic Controllers

  • Allen Bradley Automation

  • RSLogix 500 & 5000, Control Logix

  • Panel Builder 32

  • RSNetworx for Devicenet and Ethernet

Required Skills:

  • Proficient use of hand tools, multi-meter, power tools, level, etc.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues, read schematics.

  • Ability to life heavy equipment, work in hot/cold environments, and use stairs, ladders, and manlifts.

  • Shift flexibility and ability to work weekends and holidays when needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Fanuc Robots

  • Industrial Electrical Maintenance experience

  • PLC knowledge.

Scheduled Shifts:

  • Friday - Sunday

  • 12-hour shifts
