Base pay range

$24.00/hr - $40.00/hr

Position Summary

The In-House Journeyman Electrician for GTI Energy located in Goodyear Arizona is responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment within our facility. This role ensures all electrical work complies with safety regulations, codes, and company standards while supporting uninterrupted production and building operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, lighting, outlets, and equipment in accordance with NEC standards.
• Inspect electrical components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on electrical systems and machinery to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and specifications.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors as needed for specialized projects.
• Respond quickly to service calls and emergency repairs as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and system modifications.
• Ensure all electrical systems are compliant with local, state, and federal codes.
• Collaborate with other maintenance staff and departments to support facility goals.
• Promote and maintain a safe working environment, following all safety policies and procedures.
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
• Valid Journeyman Electrician Credentials.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in commercial or industrial electrical work.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, power distribution, and safety codes.
• Proficient in using hand and power tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Wireman certification
• Arizona Valid Journeyman Electrician Credentials
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work on ladders, scaffolding, and in tight or elevated spaces.
• Exposure to noise, dust, and other environmental conditions commonly found in manufacturing and facility settings.
  
  

Work Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday 5:00am – 2:30pm; may include occasional weekends or on-call hours.
