Job Description

This position is at a Union Facility.

Qualifications:

• Must be a licensed State of Michigan Journeyman or Master Electrician or hold an equivalent UAW or IBEW Electrician Journeyman Card.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, machine controls, and electronic problems.
• Thorough knowledge of shop mathematics, electronics, and understanding of electrically related machine functions.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and interpret one-line drawings.
• Ability to prepare and obtain quotes for electrical projects and knowledge of current electrical codes.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical repairs on building fixtures, main power distribution, test cells, and machine tools.
• Work with minimal supervision, interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and work from schematics.
• Perform mechanical operations related to dismantling or building electrical/electronic units.
• Repair and install large cables, including splicing, tapping, and insulating high voltage wires.
• Assist in machine installation and repair activities.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Troubleshoot and repair machinery controls, including drives, power supplies, controllers, PLC ladder logic, and basic programming.
• Prepare and update electrical project quotes and ensure compliance with electrical codes.
