Job Summary

Elite Contracting Group is looking for a Journeyman Electrician in our VA Beach, VA location to join one of Virginia's fastest-growing full-service securitysolution integration companies. The ideal candidate will primarily work on electrical, technology installations, CCTV, and access control installations in various environments throughout Virginia.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain raceways, wiring, and equipment for electrical systems, access controls, intrusion detection, and other systems.
• Inspects, tests, and performs preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment, lighting, signal, communications, and power circuits
• Ability to identify, communicate, and isolate electrical hazard
• Performs all work following safety procedures; Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum two years experience in the electrical trade
• Experience working with voltages up to 480v
• Experience installing and maintaining wiring, control, and lighting/power systems
• Familiarity with electrical construction practices including threading, bending conduit, and pulling/removing wire
• Ability to possess and maintain a DCJS Registration
• This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and move items over 50 pounds
• This position includes occasional in-state travel
