We are currently looking for a Maintenance Electrician who will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all production machinery, facility systems, and electrical infrastructure. This role performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical, mechanical, and facility systems to minimize downtime and maintain a safe working environment. A great member of the maintenance team is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers. The goal will be to ensure that manufacturing equipment will be maintained to carry on smoothly and maximize efficiency and profits.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, wiring, control panels, motors, and related components for manufacturing equipment and facility infrastructure.
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues in PLC-controlled equipment, variable frequency drives, sensors and other automation systems.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with the Electrical Code and company safety standards.
- Maintain accurate electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and maintenance records.
- Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment to reduce unplanned downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues with the maintenance team.
- Support machine installations, upgrades, and modifications, as needed.
- Maintain facility lighting, HVAC, power distribution, and other building systems.
- Perform general repairs on doors, docks, plumbing, racking, and structural components.
- Assist in planning and executing facility improvement projects, including things such as painting, minor repairs, or set-up/teardown for events.
- Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, the use of PPE, and company policies.
- Promptly report any safety hazards or concerns to the Facility Maintenance Manager.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
- Participate in safety training, audits, and incident investigations, as required.
- Perform all other duties, as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED; technical or trade school certification in electrical maintenance .
- 3-5 years’ of industrial electrician experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with machines maintenance, facility systems, and electrical troubleshooting required.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and industrial equipment.
- Ability to tread and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Proficient in troubleshooting PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and automation equipment.
- Basic mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repair skills.
- Knowledge of NEC, OSHA, and plant safety standards.
- Ability to work at a fast pace and carry out instructions and tasks with little supervision.
- Must be a team player with the ability to maintain a cooperative and respectful attitude.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills .
